Peter Sykes

President, Dow Automotive Systems

Peter Sykes is President of Dow Automotive Systems and is responsible for Dow Automotive's global profit and loss, business strategy and organizational health. Sykes also services as President, Dow Japan & Korea and is based in Tokyo, Japan. Sykes joined The Dow Chemical Company in 1981 in the Company's London office. He has held a number of financial and operations management positions around the globe, including treasurer, Dow Japan Ltd. and business manager for Engineering Thermoplastics, Dow Chemical Pacific. He also served as the country general manager for Dow Chemical Thailand Ltd., and managing director for the SCC-Dow Group of Companies, based in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2000, Sykes was appointed North American commercial director for Dow's Polystyrene business and was responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the business.
