AERIFY™ diesel particulate filters from Dow Automotive, a major technology and solutions provider to the global automotive and commercial transportation industries, will again support the  908 HDi FAP diesel-powered race cars from Team Peugeot Total. The first race of the 2009 season will be the American Le Mans Series 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race on Saturday, March 21.  The team will also compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.

AERIFY filters from Dow Automotive offer a unique microstructure with high porosity that demonstrates high strength, low back pressure and the ability to downsize for smaller packaging without compromising performance. The Peugeot 908 HDi FAP 5.5 litre, V12 racing engine settings have been revised for the 2009 season to comply with ACO regulations. In addition, the aerodynamics of the vehicle were optimized and the livery was modified. Dow Automotive experts have partnered with Peugeot Sport to help optimize the performance of the AERIFY filters as the team works to advance the car's overall performance, which has included optimization of the diesel engine's combustion, fuel injection and chassis/tire package.
