BETAFOAM™ 87100-87155
  • BETAFOAM™ 87100-87155

BETAFOAM 87100-87155 polyols and isonates are two components used to make a high-density, all-water-blown rigid polyurethane foam for increasing the stiffness of body structure cavities. The foam is produced by rapidly mixing both components under high shear conditions. These components were formulated to provide cavity fill before the mixture gels. The foam adheres to primed metal surfaces.

Product Benefits:

  • Manages noise and vibration and also contributes to vehicle structural integrity
  • Improves body rigidity and crash-worthiness
  • Offers a cost- and mass-efficient solution compared to traditional approaches (steel, expandable/pumpable epoxy, expandable baffles, drop-in parts)
  • Brings potential to down gauge or eliminate body-in-white (BIW) content, which may realize an overall weight reduction in vehicle
  • Provides design flexibility, as the foam will fill any shape or contour and doesn't require re-design after sheet metal changes

Application: BETAFOAM 87100-87155 is used to produce foam for increasing stiffness of automotive body structure cavities, including cowl bars, pillars, rocker, sail and door panels, wheel wells, body-side joints, frame and lateral rails and engine cradles.

Application Methods: BETAFOAM 87100-87155 can be pumped from bulk containers into heated meter mix equipment. The proper mix ratio is in turn dispensed manually or robotically through an impingement mix gun.

OEM Specifications: BETAFOAMTM 87100-87155 meets Ford WSS-M2D466-A2 specification.
