Dow Automotive is pleased to announce that Peter Harrison has been named Sales Director for the European aftermarket and Bus, Truck and Rail (BTR) businesses.  The announcement was made by Paul Turner, Vice President, European Sales and Sales Service.

Peter will have responsibility for leading Dow Automotive's aftermarket and BTR teams in Europe.  As part of a recent organisational realignment, key account managers will service individual customers on a European-wide basis rather than the previous regional approach.  "Dow Automotive is committed to affirming its position as a leading player in the aftermarket business," Harrison states.  "I am looking forward to strengthening ties with our current customer base and to expanding our presence in developing markets in Eastern and Central Europe."

Peter has been with The Dow Chemical Company since 1986 where he began as a technical representative, then later as a seller, of epoxy resins. In 1994, he joined Dow Automotive in Schwalbach where he spent two years selling plastic materials to the German Tier 1 suppliers. In 1996, he relocated to Dow Automotive's US headquarters, then located in Southfield, Michigan, and was responsible for evaluating new business development opportunities. Since 2002, when Peter moved back to Germany, he has been involved in various business development and sales management roles in Dow's films and performance foams division.

A native of the UK, Peter is 40 years old and holds a Bachelors Degree (BSc) in Chemistry from Bath University.  He is based near Frankfurt, in Dow Automotive's Schwalbach, Germany facility.
