Steve Henderson has been named Vice President of New Business Development and Strategic Marketing. In this newly created position, Henderson will lead global new business development (NBD) efforts and ensure alignment between research and development, NBD and marketing. He will identify and pursue appropriate merger/acquisition candidates and develop global strategic marketing excellence activities. Henderson will continue to participate in the Dow Automotive Leadership Team and will join the Dow Automotive/Dow Ventures Steering Team.

In his previous position at Dow Automotive, Henderson was Vice President, Glass and Plastic Bonding. He joined Dow Automotive from General Motors in 1987 as an Associate Engineer, and has held a variety of positions in sales and marketing. Henderson has a B.S. in Organizational Administration as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Sales and Marketing Executives (SME), Adhesives Sealants Council (ASC) and Beta Gamma Sigma.

Joining Henderson in leading the new initiative is Dean Palmieri in the role of Manager, Strategic Marketing. Palmieri will manage strategic marketing activities to ensure alignment and clarity between value centers, regions, new business development and adjacent market initiatives. He will also play a leadership role in assessing alliance opportunities and subsequent implementation efforts.

Palmieri joined Dow in 1989 and has held numerous global sales and marketing assignments within Dow Automotive. Most recently, he was manager of Dow Automotive's North American Customer Service team. Palmieri earned a B.S. in political science from Western Michigan University and is a member of SAE, The Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) and the Automotive Composites Alliance.
