The Easter Bunny, Mrs. Easter Bunny, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and one of the 101 Dalmations friends will visit Greenfield School in Hillsdale on Wednesday, March 19, courtesy of Dow Automotive. Two parties will be hosted, at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., complete with Easter baskets and chocolates, singing, dancing and snacks for more than 130 children.
Part of the Hillsdale County Intermediate School District, Greenfield School houses two programs for special needs students. The goal of the Early Childhood Program, which serves children age two through five, is to provide early intervention in order to maximize the success of the children as they start kindergarten. Greenfield School also provides classes for moderately and severely impaired students who range in age from four to 26 years old. Students focus on increasing their level of independence at school, home and in community settings.
The annual Easter party is sponsored by the Dow Automotive Children’s Fund, a community outreach foundation established more than 30 years ago by Dow Automotive employees to support children’s activities in their local communities. The fund is wholly supported by employee donations and similar holiday parties are hosted in other locations.
